Forgive me Deviantart, but now you are but a museum to your former glory. I have replaced you with the instant satisfaction of sites like Tumblr, or Newgrounds, or even Facebook. You were a shining beacon once, the very epitome of free expression. But you are limited to me, and I haven't used you to your potential these last 7 years. We're both to blame my friend.
If I ever become a person with any right to walk your hallowed halls, to submit my crude etchings upon your marble walls, I will. But I am getting old, and this artistic flirtation is straying dangerously close to voyeurism. I will always come to see what works my favorite artists

from 7 years ago. No joke. And it makes me wonder what would have happened if I had actually decided to do art. I was young and impressionable by manga for obvious reasons, but they had potential. My 15-year-old self was a much better artist than current me. You would think learning more would have made me more technically good at a skill over time. This was not the case.
Now, since I let what little practice I did back then languish into nothingness, I wonder if I can ever attain a skill. Certainly I have other skills, but being at an art trade awoke a deep hunger within me for another potentially cool skill. I actually have access to offic
